How does Singles Dining work?
Our Singles Dining Events are held at restaurants that range from the most sought after hot spots in town to the best standard fare. All restaurants are selected for the premium quality of their food. There are a few different types of Dining Events. One type of event that we offer is our “Match Dinners”. At Match Dinners, you'll sit at a table with 4 to 8 other people who are all getting to know each other for the first time. You’ll be invited to one of these Match Dinners when your Matchmaker feels there might be someone attending that you have indicated interest in by adding them to your Hot List, or Special Interest List, or who he or she feels might be compatible with you. There will be a Host present to introduce everyone, and organize the seating. At “Large Group” Dinner Events, you’ll sit at a table of 8-10 people of similar age and interests. There are also “Special Dinners”, which feature a guest speaker or activity along with the cuisine, and “Wine Tastings”, where you’ll sample delicious wines while meeting new people. Your Matchmaker will invite you to those Dinner Events that fit your interests and which present opportunities for you to meet compatible matches.
Can I attend a Dining Event by myself?
Of course! Many members come to Dinners by themselves. In many ways, it is even a good idea to come solo to force yourself to meet new people. Since our members are so friendly, there will generally be someone who will reach out to welcome you into the fold. And remember, there will always be a Host on hand to introduce everyone to each other.
What is the age range of the members that will attend?
Dining Events are attended by single people of all different ages. In order to make sure that people attending meet the kind of people they will be comfortable with, people in a common age range are generally seated together.
Can I attend these events if I’m not single?
Since many of our members attend these dinners to help make new romantic connections, as well as enjoy a great meal, the majority of our events are singles-only. However, we do not want our members who meet their significant other on our service to be left out of the fine dining and great conversation, so we do offer separate Dining Events for couples as well.
